SMOOTH DRAWER MOTION ACCORDING TO THE TANDEM PRINCIPLE.

The TANDEM leads are a certified system for a smooth motion of the drawers, even if full loaded. Vertical and horizontal forces are dampened separately with the TANDEM system. A sliding trolley with wear - resistant rollers makes sure that the motion is smooth throughout the life of the furniture. The system needs no maintenance.

8 priceless pieces of advice
when planning and purchasing a kitchen:

WHEN PLANNING A KITCHEN, THE PLACEMENT OF ITS FIVE MAIN COMPONENTS IS VERY IMPORTANT (the following order of placement is intended for right - handed people):

1.) SUPPLIES (larder, fridge)
2.) STORES (dishes, table - ware,...)
3.) WASHING (cleaning centre - sink, dishwasher, garbage disposal system, mixing battery...)
4.) FOOD PREPARATION (counter, small kitchen appliances)
5.) COOKING / BAKING (cooker, oven,...)

THE MOST WORKING TIME, SPENT IN THE KITCHEN, IS SPENT BY THE SINK.

Thus, make sure to arrange that particular section of the kitchen as comfortably and as functionally as possible. Raise the kitchen sink by 20 centimeters. That way you will not have to stoop while washing the dishes, taking some pressure off your spine. The cupboard under the sink should hold a pull - out waste bin and special leads with baskets for detergents and other supplies.

ADJUST THE HEIGHT OF THE COUNTER TO YOUR OWN NEEDS.

Remember that you're buying the kitchen for yourself, so adjust the heights of the counter, the sink and the cooking area ot your needs. Lower the cooking area for about 10 - 15 centimeters. Thus, you'll find it easier to see, what's happening in the various pots. Stirring, too, will keep your hand in a natural position. Lift the sink for 20 centimeters.

THE TRIANGULAR PATH OF MOTION THROUGH THE KITCHEN.

We suggest that the path oven - sink - fridge doesn't exceed 3,5 meters. It is wise to construct the kitchen in a way, where as little walking as possible has to be done during the daily activities. This, in turn, means everything will be close at hand at every given moment.

THE USE OF SPACE IN THE KITCHEN.

When planning the kitchen, it is necessary to include enough usable space. First, one should consider the number of people that the kitchen will be used for and adapt cupboard sizes to that, as well as the size and type of the fridge. Also, one must consider where bread will be kept, where the kitchen appliances will be stored, the cleaning utensiles, cookbooks etc.

FULL EXTENTION OF THE DRAWERS...

...is the basis for the optimal use of space and an ergonomic method of work. It gives you a complete overview of the drawers' contents as well as a comfortable way of reaching them all.

SPACING BETWEEN THE ELEMENTS.

There should be at least 40 centimeters of free space to the left and to the right of the oven, at least 80 centimeters between the oven and the sink and at least 60 centimeters between the oven and the fridge.

KITCHEN MAINTENANCE

Buy a kitchen that you will find easy to maintain. Due to a special finishing process, our kitchens are resistant to many forms of uncleanliness and thus easy to maintain. Tests have shown that our finishing can't even be harmed by red wine, Coca - cola or coffee and leave it in the open overnight.

EIGHT MOST COMMON MISTAKES

1.) Not enough light.
2.) Upper elements placed too low; they hinder the view over the working surface, one can often hit one's head against them.
3.) Upper elements placed too high; sight is limited.
4.) Too little space between the oven and the sink (minimum 80 centimeters)
5.) Sink leaks
6.) Corner element used up by shelf (we recommend a retractable or rotational corner element)
7.) Impropriate lighting of the dining table (we recommend 55 - 60 centimeters)
8.) Ceramics laid on the walls before kitchen elements are mounted: because the walls aren't ever completely straight or under right angles, empty spaces appear along the edges of the counter. If the ceramics are laid down after the kitchen has been installed, these spaces can be closed down. That reduces the cost for finishing wooden inserts along the edges of the counter.

The working surface is the most affected part of the kitchen furniture.
It should not be sensitive to mechanical damage, moisture, fat, acids or the heat of hot dishes.

WOODEN WORK SURFACE.

The most often used work surface when our kitchens are designed is the lamelated massive oak or beech counter, protected with teak oil, applied three times. Thus, the counter becomes water and uncleanliness resistant.

WHY CHOOSE A WOODEN WORK SURFACE?

It gives the kitchen warmth and a domestic feel. Microorganisms have a five times shorter life expectancy compared to ordinary counters. Since a surface like that can be sanded and covered in teak oil again, its own life is practically eternal.

CERAMIC WORK SURFACE

Ceramic counters are mainly used with constructed kitchens. In such a case, the counter is made out of waterproof bound plate, which is then covered in ceramic plates. Our craftsmen will, when such a kitchen is installed, lay the ceramics with quality and care, on the counter as well as on the walls in the kitchen area. Since there is a chance of minimal extension and contraction of the wooden layer, special, flexible glues are used for the ceramics. To facilitate cleaning and maintenance of the counter, the fugue mass is also unique, uncleanliness, acid, and luge proof, based on epoxy compounds.

STONE WORKING SURFACE

Marble or granite working surfaces are among the most aesthetic work surfaces. As they're cold, they're ideal for dough - making. It is, however, rather hard, so it makes chipping glass and ceramic dishes more likely.
An especially attractive sight are the facceted edges, ideally fitting the city style of our kitchens.

HEIGHTS OF KITCHEN COUNTERS

The heights of kitchen counters have changed in the last few decades. The reason for that lies in the general average height rising. Thus, even as early as 10 - 20 years ago, counters at the height of 80 - 85 centimeters were used. Now, kitchens are made with conters at the height of 90 - 95 centimeters.
As you will be the one using your kitchen, we suggest that you adapt it completely to your own height and needs.
